Faculty Kudos -- Week of Jan. 22, 2007

Iris Chyi was invited to give a talk on online journalism to a group of master's students in the Department of Journalism, National Chengchi University (Taipei, Taiwan).

Kevin R. Kemper was featured in a blog article from the UA Learning Technologies Center on "Exemplary uses of D2L." Kemper uses the technology in two courses he teaches: Reporting the News and Law of the Press. On May 3, he'll participate in a panel discussion the Learning Technologies Center puts on. This year's event is themed "Student Engagement."

An abstract Glenn Weyant submitted to the University of Kansas for their Annual Interdisciplinary Jazz Studies Colloquium was accepted for presentation in March.
