Faculty Kudos – Week of Oct. 26, 2009
James Gregg won two Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Oct. 24 in Phoenix.
Gregg, a photographer at the Arizona Daily Star, won in the advance media/sports category for "His Own Fight" about a Tucson mixed martial arts fighter whom Gregg followed for about two years, and in the achievement of craft/photography category for a portfolio of three videos and two Soundslides presentations.

Advance media/sports -- "His Own Fight"
Glenn Weyant will be a featured speaker Nov. 2 at “Dueling Eagles: A Seminar on U.S.- Mexico Border Issues” put on by the University of Oklahoma's School for Area and International Studies and Department of History. He will deliver a multimedia presentation via image/ sound/ discussion titled: “The Anta Project: Transforming the US/Mexico Border Wall with a Cello Bow and Implements of Mass Percussion.”
