Faculty Kudos - Week of Oct. 9, 2006Two faculty members will be making presentations at the Arizona Newspapers Association Annual Meeting and Fall Convention Oct. 13-14 in Scottsdale. Kevin R. Kemper will discuss recent issues in Arizona and the Ninth Circuit involving libel, invasion of privacy, access to records and meetings, reporters' privilege, and other legal matters affecting Arizona newspapers. Susan Knight will offer a workshop on the AP Stylebook. She plans to speak about changes to the AP Stylebook in the past dozen years, particularly around border issues, terrorism and punctuation. Linda Lumsden presented a paper on "Anarchy Meets Feminism: A Gender Analysis of Emma Goldman's Mother Earth, 1906-1917," at the American Journalism Historians convention in Wichita, Kan., Oct. 12-14.
