Faculty Kudos of the Week - May 1, 2006

Iris Chyi completed her contribution to a multi-authored chapter "Women Worldwide and News Around the Globe," in the book, Women, Men, and News: Divided and Disconnected in the News Media Landscape to be published by Erlbaum.

She also was a paper reviewer for the Communication and Technology Division, AEJMC conference, 2006. In addition, Iris served on a communication doctoral student's comprehensive exam committee, including designing and evaluating the exams.

Celeste González de Bustamante and Kevin Kemper both completed the requirements this week to earn their doctorates! Kevin has been promoted to an assistant professor and Celeste to an assistant professor of practice.

For the third straight year Jeannine Relly has won the Hugh and Jan Harelson Excellence in Teaching Award from the department. She was presented with the award at the department's May 3 Just Desserts end-of-the-year celebration.

Jeannine also served as a paper reviewer for the Communication and Technology Division, AEJMC conference, 2006.
