Faculty Kudos of the Week - May 22 and May 29, 2006

On June 2, Linda Lumsden, who will join the faculty in August, will present: "Down the Tubes: The Rise and Fall -- and Rise Again -- of New York City's Pneumatic Tubes," at the New York State Historians Conference at Columbia University in New York, N.Y.

Kevin R. Kemper's paper "Applying Hazelwood to College Speech: Forum Doctrine and Government Speech in the U.S. Court of Appeals" has been accepted for publication in September 2006 by the South Texas Law Review. Kemper was the second author on the paper, which also won top faculty paper award at AEJMC Southeast Law Division in Spring 2006. The other authors are Edward L. Carter of Brigham Young University and Barbara L. Morgenstern of Miami University of Ohio.
