Faculty Kudos - Week of June 2, 2008
At the International Communication Association Conference, Journalism Studies Division, in Montreal, Celeste González de Bustamante presented a paper titled, "The First Television Diplomats: Changing Political and Media Landscapes on Mexican Television News, 1959." She also chaired a panel titled, "Journalism, Citizens, and the State."
Student Kudos
Jennifer Tramm was one of five runners up in the writing competition at the National Writing, Photojournalism and Broadcast News Championships sponsored by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation Journalism Awards Program. Her placement means a $1,500 award for Tramm and a matching grant to the department.
