David Cuillier wrote a column for the June/July edition of the Society of Professional Journalists' magazine, Quill, providing journalists ideas for public records they can request to produce award-winning work. He also published an academic article in the July issue of the Howard Journal of Communications, titled "Gambling with identity: Self-representation of American Indians on official tribal Web sites," with second author Dr. Susan Dente Ross of Washington State University.

Alan Weisman's latest book, The World Without Us, was listed number seven on The New York Times bestseller list for hardcover nonfiction. It's also ranked 19th on Amazon.com's bestseller list.
