JOURNALISM STUDENTS : SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS
The University of Arizona chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists
strives to uphold journalists' First Amendment rights and the free flow of information.
The UA chapter holds workshops on job hunting, diversity, the Freedom of
Information Act and on various topics of interest to all journalists.
The chapter sends
its members to various journalism conferences around the country in an effort
to supplement their education. Any student can attend any SPJ function to learn more about journalism or meet new friends.

Student-Faculty Mixer
The UA chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invites all members of the department to a Student-Faculty Mixer to welcome
two new journalism professors on board: Professors Bruce Itule and Kim Newton.
Meet new faculty, visit with returning professors, talk to other journalism students and have a good time.
