Kemper discusses tribes, communicationKevin R. Kemper, an adjunct professor in the University of Arizona Department of Journalism, will speak on "Rhetorical Sovereignty: How American Indian Tribes and Other Ethnic Groups can Claim Control Over their own Communication" from noon to 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, in the Harvill Building - Room 101 as part of the 2005-2006 American Indian Studies Colloquium Series. Kemper teaches Law of the Press among other courses in the Department of Journalism. He also researches issues about free expression, representation, and rhetorical sovereignty, especially for minority groups across the world. He is earning a law degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, but takes courses as a visiting student at the University of Arizona's College of Law. Kemper is a former reporter, publisher, and newspaper owner. All faculty, staff, and students are invited and encouraged to attend. UA Journalism News Home
