Journalism professor looks at humankind's
place on the planet in April 30 lecture
Alan Weisman will present a talk on his book The World Without Us at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Tucson Museum of Art in conjunction with the Museum’s current exhibition, "Trouble in Paradise: Examining Discord between Nature and Society."
The talk will be held in the museum's lobby. Galleries remain open until 6 p.m.
Weisman's The World Without Us spent much of 2007 on The New York Times' best-seller list and was named Time Magazine's No. 1 nonfiction book of 2007. An an associate professor of journalism and Latin American Studies, Weisman teaches in the international journalism program at the UA.
