Cathalena Burch is a country and classical music critic and feature writer for the Arizona Daily Star.
Burch joined the Star in 1997 and spent two years on the city desk. She also has reported for the Mesa Tribune, the Sedona Red Rock News and the Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Gazette, where she also served as city editor.
Burch taught reporting and writing classes at Buffalo State College and was a copy editor with USA Today. She graduated from Arizona State University.
She joined the department in 2001 and teaches Advanced Reporting.
