Christopher Conover joined KUAT/KUAZ in January 2005, covering politics, the military and the environment.

He began his news career in 1989 as an intern at a Miami, Fla., radio station. He has 13 years of experience covering the Florida legislature for both television and radio. Conover worked for WFSU-TV/The Florida Channel, where he worked with the staff of Florida Public Radio to coordinate statewide coverage.

An award-winning journalist, Conover anchored a weekly newsmagazine and provided daily legislative coverage for television and radio, and also produced half-hour television documentaries. He holds a bachelor's degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee.

He teaches the broadcasting capstone course, Arizona Cat's Eye, in the department.
