Jodie Lau is the assistant news editor at The Arizona Republic, where she has worked since 2004.

Lau has served on the newspaper's diversity committee and is involved with the style committee, which sets guidelines for usage and consistency at The Republic. Previously, Lau worked for the Salt Lake Tribune on the news and features copy desks.

She has taught editing at Arizona State University. Lau holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from ASU.

Lau teaches Editing in the journalism department.
