As the senior academic advisor for the Journalism Department, Paul Johnson approves students' academic program of study, clarifies program requirements, policies and procedures, and promotes student success through individualized attention.

Before assuming the advising position, Johnson was an adjunct instructor in the department for six years. He joined the department in 1997 after spending some 35 years as a writer in the newspaper, advertising and public relations fields. He has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and a master's in Journalism from Syracuse University.

Students with questions about the major are welcome during walk-in advising hours or by appointment.
