JOURNALISM STUDENTS : FINANCIAL AID
The journalism school presents scholarships to about 50 students each year. Only Journalism majors who have completed at least two journalism courses are eligible. Students apply for the scholarships in March for funds that are available beginning the following fall semester.
Some of the scholarships awarded by the school are based on financial need, others on academic performance. Check back in spring 2010 for the 2010 application, which may be downloaded as a pdf.
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences also has several scholarships available for which journalism students are eligible. View them here.
In addition, the UA Office of Student Financial Aid has a number of resources of interest to students such as eligibility requirements, application tips, loan counseling, tax information, and related deadlines for various financial aid applications.
June 1, 2009, is the deadline to apply for a scholarship sponsored by the Southern Arizona Architects & Engineers Marketing Association. Download the application here.
