Grad students: Talk & 'Tizers

Date:

Thursday, September 14, 2017 - 4:30pm

Graduate students, faculty and staff are invited to the school's annual Talk & ’Tizers on Thursday, Sept. 14, to meet, mingle and listen to three graduate students talk about their experiences this summer.

  • Zeina Peterson was a dorm counselor and mentor at the Dow Jones Journalism Diversity Workshop for Arizona High School Students.
  • April Lanuza took part in a reporting project in North Dakota.
  • Emily Ellis traveled to Mexico City to conduct archival research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She also did an internship with Franc Contreras, an American journalist of Mexican descent.

This year's event will start in Marshall 340 at 4:30 p.m. After the presentations, we’ll head over to Gentle Ben’s, 865 E. University Blvd. The school will provide appetizers. Drinks are not provided.

Talk & ’Tizers is fun and informal! Please RSVP grad studies program coordinator Debbie Cross by Friday, Sept. 8.
