John Lindback is a senior officer working on elections administration issues for the Pew Center on the States. He lives in Stayton, Ore.



Nancy Groves is a freelance healthcare journalist in Lawrenceville, Ga.



Cynthia Markle Richardson is a supervising attorney doing criminal defense work for the City of Tucson Public Defender's Office.



Jeff Davis just completed his MBA at St. Mary's College of California in the Bay Area.



Steve Delgado is the new marketing specialist in the UA College of Engineering. He most recently served as publicity and marketing specialist for Arizona Public Media.

Christianne Marra is the communications manager for Skyline College in San Bruno, Calif.


Jamie Manser is editor of Zocalo Magazine and program director of 2nd Saturdays.



Earl Burton Hathaway III is an attorney in Annapolis, Md.



Heather Chambers has left the San Diego Business Journal as their health care/biotech reporter for a job with the California Healthcare Institute, a nonprofit public policy research organization that advocates for California's biomedical industry.

Rebecca Missel received the 2010 Leo Brody Communal Service Award from the New Jersey Association of Jewish Communal Service. Rebecca works full time as the grants and marketing manager for Jewish Family Service of MetroWest in Florham Park, N.J., and also serves as the president and founder of Jersey Tribe.


Jenn Karlman is a freelance correspondent for KSWB-TV Channel 5, the Fox news affiliate in San Diego.


Alex Chihak is a copy editor and paginator at the Amarillo (Texas) Globe News.

Marc Viscardi writes that he took “a fantastic job offer” in July with Broadway Across America based in New York City. He will oversee the Atlanta, Baltimore and Boston markets.


Adrienne Alvarez has been promoted from weekend anchor at KTSM to the main anchor at KDBC Local 4 News in El Paso, Texas.

Zach Colick is a technical writer with Vernadero Group in Tempe.

Aaron Mackey spent the summer working for the First Amendment Project in Oakland. He’s also pursuing his law degree at the University of San Francisco.

Dmitry Rashnitsov recently took a job as the marketing manager for the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival.


Fernanda Echavarri is covering the police beat at the Arizona Daily Star.

Victoria Harben started working at the University of Denver as a copywriter/content manager in August, writing and editing marketing collateral and website content, and managing social media efforts for the University College. In addition, the publishing company she founded, Jargon Media, launched the inaugural issue of So.Me Magazine, a publication for social media enthusiasts and professionals.

Michael Skow is the news weekend sports anchor and reporter at KTXS News in Abilene, Texas. He joined the station in 2008 as a news anchor and reporter.


Nate Olivarez-Giles is a business writer at the Los Angeles Times.

Katie Ryan is the morning anchor/executive producer for KJCT News 8 in Grand Junction, Colo.

Nicole Santa Cruz has the national education beat at the Los Angeles Times.


Cody Calamaio joined The Gazette, covering the suburbs of Washington D.C., in April 2010.

Dalina Castellanos is a full-time reporter at the Gallup (N.M.) Independent. Writes Dalina: “I can honestly say it's been one of the best experiences because working in the newsroom is like living in 1985. We don't have much of a website, so all of our readers rely on our actual paper -- and it's fantastic. This isn't ideal for those who want to make a name for themselves in multimedia, but it's great for people in love with old-school journalism.”

Scott Karpen is an associate producer at Universal Sports. Universal is a partner of NBC and covers Olympic sports year round as well as many World Championships.


Candace Begody is living in Window Rock, Ariz., and is the sports editor of the Navajo Times. She’s also working – from home – for the University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership.

Ashlee Cain is an account coordinator with Davidson & Belluso, a Phoenix-based advertising and graphic design agency.

Alex Dalenberg is a business reporter at the Arizona Daily Star.

Matthew Lewis is editor at the Coolidge Examiner.

Lance Madden works in Times Square with a branch of MTVu called College Media Network “doing nerdy web stuff.” The group provides software for more than 600 college newspapers around the country (including the Wildcat) that powers their websites, and offers technical support and opportunities for college journalists to interview folks like Bill Clinton and Comedy Central personalities.

Meaghan Wallace is the weekday morning anchor/producer at KREX in Grand Junction, Colo.

Louis Pavlovich ’49 – Oct. 15, 2010. Worked at the Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Citizen and also served as publisher of Collegiate Baseball, a nationally distributed publication.
