Areas of interest: Human rights practice, peace studies, U.S. asylum policy
Undergrad Degree: Global International Relations & Spanish, High Point University
Hometown: Wilmington, Delaware
Background/goals: I am an English, Spanish, and Kaqchikel (Summer, 2020) speaking graduate student studying Latin American Studies and Journalism. My goal is to use my language skills, teaching experience, and education to work in an embassy setting or perhaps the United Nations, where I can make the strongest impact on our world.
Why UA: The postponement of my field research may have been a blessing in disguise, as it has allowed me to pursue my interest in Journalism and expand my methods for future fieldwork.
