The Adelaida & Barry Severson Family Broadcast-Podcast Studio
The School of Journalism's studio space allows students to further develop their broadcasting, podcasting, producing and reporting skills.
The Adelaida and Barry Severson Family Broadcast-Podcast Studio opened in Fall 2023 with the purpose of serving journalism students and the campus community.
The founding of the new studio was made possible by a donation from Dr. Adelaida and Barry Severson, cofounders of Bushtex, Inc., and funding from the Provost Investment Fund and the University Center for Assessment, Teaching and Technology.
The Broadcast Studio
The broadcast studio is currently home to Cat's Eye News, which produces newscasts each semester and features reporting by students in the Arizona Cat's Eye capstone course.
The Podcast Studio
The podcast studio is open to all University of Arizona students, faculty, and staff members. It is equipped with industry-standard microphones, headsets, and audio equipment.
For more information on the operating hours of the podcast studio and to learn about equipment available to rent, visit the Digital Makerspace website.
