Throughout your journey in our program, you'll delve into the core principles of journalism, learning to craft compelling news reports tailored for diverse mediums including print, broadcast, and online platforms. Our hands-on approach means you won't just study theory – you'll engage in practical exercises, honing your skills in information gathering, interviewing techniques, content analysis, and ethical reporting practices.

In addition to our core journalism courses, students have the flexibility to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals. Whether you choose to specialize in broadcast journalism, global reporting, or delve into digital media, our program offers the flexibility to customize your learning experience.

We encourage interdisciplinary learning, recognizing that journalism intersects with a multitude of fields. That's why we require students to pursue a second major or a minor in a specialized area such as political science, religion, or Middle Eastern studies. Broadcast Journalism

Specialize in reporting news stories for television and radio, mastering the skills of storytelling, interviewing, and producing content for broadcast media platforms.

Digital Journalism

Learn to navigate the digital landscape, focusing on creating engaging and informative content for online platforms, including websites, social media, and mobile apps. 

General Journalism

Develop a well-rounded understanding of journalism fundamentals, covering a range of mediums and topics to prepare for a versatile career in the field.

Required Minor
