Mandy Loader

Mandy Loader is an adjunct instructor in the Studies of Global Media Programs in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She has served as the program associate at the Center for Border & Global Journalism since 2020 and helps manage the center’s Al Jisr (The Bridge) Cultural Exchange Programs. She earned dual master’s degrees in journalism and studies of global media at the University of Arizona. Her areas of focus include global journalism, migration, human rights, and media development. Loader recently conducted field research in Mexico-U.S. border cities for a project that reported on Guatemalan migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. She also helped cover border and local government issues at the Arizona Daily Star. Additionally, Loader has over seven years of professional experience in communications and copywriting.
