Kiana Watchman

My name is Kiana Watchman and I am from Boise, Idaho. I am obtaining a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Global Studies. I am interested in pursuing a career in sports journalism and have dreams of one day working for ESPN and covering the NFL as an analyst or reporter. 

I received my undergraduate degree at Eastern Oregon University in 2023. I majored in communications and minored in business administration. I got the opportunity to play collegiate women's lacrosse for three years at EOU and played one year of club lacrosse at the University of Arizona. I am also a tribal member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Pendleton, Oregon. 

I chose the U of A because I wanted to get hands-on experience in mass media studies as well as obtaining an internship in my selected career field. There were limitless opportunities at UA that I knew would prepare me for my future. I wanted to go to a sport centered school that has a big reputation and can further my education and experiences as a student.
