Hometown: Tolleson, Arizona. 
Background/ goals: My background is in sustainability and audio reporting. I'm passionate about justice and bringing to light issues and communities that are not on a regular news cycle. One of my goals is to enhance my multimedia skills to tell these stories in an innovative and engaging way.
Why UA: I chose UA because of the diverse culture in the program and the well-renowned faculty. I'm very excited to be surrounded by students and faculty who are passionate about language, diversity, and storytelling. I believe this program will push me to be an effective bilingual journalist and set the record straight for underrepresented communities.
