Background/goals: I'm from a country which has the population of Los Angeles. My ambitions and drive led me to Tucson to be a student-athlete at the UofA as well as a graduate student in journalism. I quickly realized that this program is giving me so much more than I ever imagined, for which I will be forever grateful. From getting published multiple times in the Arizona Daily Star, being a sports anchor on Cat's Eye News to producing a short video for Arizona Illustrated, I gained experience in several areas and cherish every memory I made on the way. My goal is to serve the community of Tucson as a journalist or short form documentary producer, shedding light on important and unsung issues, news, and the culture of the city we are living in.
Why UA?: Even though sports was an important aspect of my decision, academics played a big part of making my decision. I wanted to learn from experienced journalists and be a part of a great culture at the UofA. I truly think I made the best decision by choosing this program, and I am thankful for it every day.
