About the Internships
Our Global News General Assignment Internship program selects 13 interns to be assigned to an AP bureau under the supervision of a designated trainer. They cover breaking news and complete a final, multi-format enterprise project that may be featured in media outlets around the world.
In the U.S., internships are available in the following bureaus: Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
Internationally, internships are available in the following bureaus: Bangkok, Berlin, Jerusalem, London (with emphasis on video), New Delhi, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, and Tokyo.
The Associated Press offers four categories of internships:
- Business, Entertainment, Health & Science, Sports Internships
- Photography/Video Internship
- Data Journalist Internship
- Editing/Reporting Internship
