Luis Carrión

Adjunct Instructor

Luis Carrión is an Emmy Award-winning television producer, multimedia storyteller, and educator with a career spanning public broadcasting, Spanish-language television, and independent filmmaking. Currently, as manager of Multimedia Production Services at the University of Arizona’s UCATT, he helps oversee three state-of-the-art multicamera production studios. 


A recipient of eight regional Emmy Awards, Luis’s expertise in video storytelling is evident in his work with PBS, KUAZ/NPR, and Arizona Public Media. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts with a focus on Film, a minor in Journalism, and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies. 


As an adjunct instructor, Luis shares his passion for video as a universal language, teaching students how to craft impactful stories that resonate with diverse audiences. “Video has limitless potential to connect people through music, lighting, dialogue, and pacing,” he explains.
