Background/goals: I have my roots in Communication Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), an experience that opened doors to opportunities such as collaborating with the University of Arizona. Through this partnership, I first joined the U of A as an intern and later became a master's student in the Bilingual Journalism Program.
My goal is to deepen my understanding of journalistic practice and use it to deliver truthful, accurate information to diverse audiences in multiple languages. I believe deeply that words shape the way we see and interpret the world, and I strive to tell stories that are truthful, accurate, and impactful. Guided by integrity and responsibility, I aim to bridge communities through information that empowers and enlightens.
Why the U of A?: I chose the University of Arizona because it is one of the few institutions offering a fully bilingual master’s program in journalism, where multiculturalism and the exchange of ideas are at the heart of learning. Its unique setting, near the U.S.–Mexico border, provides a dynamic environment to explore diverse perspectives and foster meaningful cross-cultural dialogue.
